What We Do

IndePendent Research

We commission and fund economic impact studies through independent academic and policy institutions, including the Guinn Center for Policy Priorities and UNR Cooperative Extension. We do not review, edit, or approve findings before publication.

University and Academic engagement

We host events and panel discussions at UNR and UNLV, connecting students, faculty, and researchers with the policy questions shaping Nevada's future.

Public Forums and Town halls

We host community events across the state, from Storey County and Lyon County to Carson City, Las Vegas, and rural Nevada, bringing research findings directly to the people and communities most affected by industrial growth. We host community events across the state, from Storey County and Lyon County to Carson City, Las Vegas, and rural Nevada, bringing research findings directly to the people and communities most affected by industrial growth.

Expert Commentary and Co-ops

We coordinate a series of opinion pieces and expert analyses in Nevada's leading outlets, including the Reno Gazette-Journal, Las Vegas Review-Journal, The Nevada Independent, Nevada Current, and This Is Reno, giving researchers, economists, and policy professionals a platform to speak directly to the public.

regional coordination

We work with Northern Nevada's Regional Development Authorities, including EDAWN, NNDA, and NNRDA, to ensure economic development strategy is informed by independent data and community input.
